Each holiday season, The Salvation Army "rings in the season" by spreading cheer, and hoping to fill the kettle at over 50 QC locations. This practice is critical to The Salvation Army's cause, as the money it raises supports the organization’s programs for the rest of the year. Thanks to the generosity of thousands of Quad Cities residents and businesses, The Salvation Army can continue to provide valuable programs such as sheltering families & feeding the hungry.

During the holidays children receive gifts through the Angel Giving Tree Program. Clothing, food and other items are given to individuals and families. Lonely senior citizens receive gifts and visits. The Salvation Army of the Quad Cities assists over 4,000 people during the holiday season.
